Shoop – Salt-N-Pepa (โ€˜50s Little Richard Style Cover) ft. Tia Simone

I live for the 50s, the style, the music. I love it all. So to cheer it up, I chose a great song that become entirely something else but equally great in the 50s style! Hope it puts some spring in your steps like it did mine. ๐Ÿ™‚ Stay strong, stay safe, stay sane.

Seven Nation Army – Postmodern Jukebox

Today was an emotional football day. Brazil fought for 90 minutes, and it almost felt like I wasn’t even watching a World Cup quality football. It was slow and tired. It was frustrating as fuck for a diehard Brazil fan like me. But once they got one goal in at 91 minutes, for the last 6 minutes I was reminded why I love Brazil football. It was glorious. Neymar’s first goal of this world cup was beautiful. When he broke down in the end from relief, I got teary-eyed with him. I was shaking and sorely needed a drink.

So I guess this song is pretty appropriate. If you have watched football matches, you might have heard the audience chanting this song – Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes. I chose a sexier version to sooth my nerves. Have a great weekend!

All Star – Postmodern Jukebox ft. Vonzell Solomon

Another week behind us and it’s Jukebox Friday. I woke up to some amazing news! This little blog of mine got its 200th follower! When I started this few years ago, I couldn’t even dream of getting three digits subs-wise. I love you guys, my dear readers. Even through tough times like these, you managed to gift me a little boost of motivation to go on. So I chose this song for you, to thank you for your support. Happy Friday!

Never Gonna Give You Up – Postmodern Jukebox ft. Gunhild Carling

Happy Friday everyone! I’m on a great mood today, because it was a sunny day. Because it’s a Friday. Because I made decisions and it always makes me feel better after deciding on things. I’ve been down for days and you might have guess already that it had something to do with Sir Atticus. Can’t be smooth sailing all the time, right? It is matters of the heart, and it’s definitely between me and Him, so I don’t feel comfortable sharing them here. We are alright now, and I decided to try go back to my cheerful self, so He would have one less thing to worry about (which is me being sad). So for this week’s Jukebox Friday I want to dedicate a song to Sir. Nothing too melancholy and melodramatic, still holds some meaning, but done in an upbeatย way. ๐Ÿ™‚ This lady is something else! I always admire a lady who can blow. ๐Ÿ˜› So if you want to hear more about the story, click ‘continue reading’ after the video. ๐Ÿ˜› Enjoy! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Black Hole Sun – Vintage Soundgarden Cover ft. Haley Reinhart

It has been a while that I’ve put anything from Postmodern Jukebox, they are after all the inspiration to my Jukebox Fridays. So I picked a rather sad song for this time, but since it’s so stunningly presented by one of my favorite voices in the world, the beautiful and talented Haley Reinhart, a little sadness won’t kill your Friday vibe. “Black Hole Sun” is one of those songs I really like but I hardly ever listen to it. It speaks of longing, at least for me, and I guess it’s also quite fitting for today. I am missing Sir Atticus quite a bit, but it IS Friday which means the week’s ending which in turn means Sir is going to be back very soon. So here’s the song, I hope you enjoy. Happy Friday! ๐Ÿ™‚
