Last week was very exciting culinary-wise. My workplace organized the annual outing and the whole company put on their hiking shoes and went out. This time we visited the Haltia Nature Center, which is an hour or so drive from the center of Helsinki. We were given a tour of Finnish nature, which was fascinating but nothing new. I would imagine that the tour would’ve been very fascinating for tourists. But then we went on a two-hour hike in the forest with a guide and of course, we got to fill our bellies with the center’s delicious buffet that is aptly named ‘Nature on a plate’. More of that later, let’s begin with last week’s meal prep because it was extraordinarily colorful this time.
I’m writing this blog in an unusual location. I’m at my boss’s cabin, which is more like a compound than a wooden little cabin in the woods. And since I’m known for being a picky sleeper, I got my own little one person room/building away from others. So here I am, sitting in my little room on the bed, writing about food. 😀 Let’s keep it short so I can get some much needed sleep.
I’ll try harder still this week to get back on track with the blog. That’s why I’m writing this at 30 minutes to midnight. :E Have a great week and goodnight. 🙂
I know I’ve been really lazy maintaining this little blog of mine, but you know what, this week feels like the week to get back on the saddle, so to speak. At least I’m going to try really hard. Not writing anything substantial for weeks doesn’t mean I stop thinking about stuff, kinky and otherwise. So I do have a few subjects up my sleeve. As busy or lazy or both that I get, I do still eat, so at least writing Foodporn Mondays have been a breeze. So here are items on last week’s menu.
